Applying crushed egg shells into mangosteen sapling

Going Circular with crushed Egg Shell as Mulch Material

Here’s what I did to over 500kg (or more) of sun-dried tyre-crushed egg shells gathered and cured over the last year. Scattered them throughout the 2 acres under saplings and just about everywhere on the ground for mulching, a slow release of calcium and soil remediation benefits. I also used them in the chicken feed. A perfect example and clear demonstration of circular economy in action to produce food sustainably!

It’s truly an exhilarating feeling to be able to harness the power of waste and convert them into something useful at virtually no cost to me. I’m aware of the fact that such a method of application may not be effective as most online resources call for the creation of calphos with the addition of vinegar into the eggshells. I’ve decided to just let nature take its course, however long that may be.
