The fish pond is finally filled after days of incessant raining signifying the start of the wet season. That means two things: Bad news is grass would flourish incredibly fast. Good news is planting season can finally begin.

Despite the fact that I could now plant with minimal concerns for plant survivability (no workers to water for me), I still have to factor in the fact that d weather is quite unpredictable. Rainy season simply means the plants have a higher chance of making it thru the next 3-4 months. There is however still a possibility of more than 3 consecutive dry days which could be a shocker for young seedlings planted (mulching certainly helps though).
On the other hand, because it rains almost daily, controlling the undergrowth would be a major challenge without workers. That’s why I’m only cutting the grasses in the vicinity where there are activities i.e. Newly planted vegetation. Otherwise I would be unnecessarily stretched!
Meanwhile, I’m growing crazy over the rate with which the “carpet” beneath my feet is exploding.
There is really no point cutting without a reason. Just need to focus on the right stuffs, at the right time.
