Contract Farming with Sacha Inchi

Taking delivery of 240 saplings of Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) as part of my short term, cash crop perennial plants to fund my operating expenditure at the moment. Will be adding more in stages in this attempt to implement my first ever contract farming project where both the leaves and seeds will be sold to an organic food factory (RM 4/kg for both leaves and seeds).

It scores all the checks in the right boxes: super food, low maintenance, resilient, high value and most of all, it’s perennial! They will be planted along the farm’s outer fence perimeter and internal paddock fencing.

Keeping these sacha inchi saplings under the rambutan tree for a week before planting.
