3 bags of chemical-free tapioca (white and yellow), a couple of papayas, some out-of-this-world berangan bananas and a handful of sad-looking, insect-stung but naturally-grown lemons (I will need to wrap them next time). A number of these crops such as the tapioca will be sent for sale at the TTDI Community Garden, which is where I’m currently sending most of my produce.
As for the price of the ubi kayu, the white tapioca is going for RM 5.50/kg while the yellow is at RM 6.50/kg.
Today’s harvest include 2 of the best durians from the farm (creamy, alcoholic, small seeds). There’s been a 95% reduction of durians compared to last year, as expected, likely due to the pruned trees after last season and that it’s always been an alternating high and low every year. That means likely a bumper crop next year. The rainy weather earlier this year is partly to be blamed as well.
